Royal Shakespeare Company Dramatized Bible
Early Christians first heard God's Word from someone reading it to them. The Scriptures were spoken, then recorded on the page. A prophet spoke, then he, or another, wrote down the words. Jesus spoke, then His disciples wrote down the words.
So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
- Romans 10:17
This is a dramatized audio version of the Bible, performed by the Royal Shakespeare Company. It was originally released on cassette tapes, but is no longer in circulation and thus hard to find. This is a shame, as it was a great audio performance of the King James Bible. Fortunately, someone digitized it.
Listen in full stereo for the best quality and intended experience. If you do not have two speakers, there are times when it may feel awkward or even silent, due to the stereo mixing.
This mono version is offered for those who only listen with one earbud or speaker, or who don't care for the stereo version.
